If you cancel before a linguist has been assigned to your order, you receive a full refund. Once a linguist has been assigned and work has started at your request, the portion of work already completed becomes chargeable, and any refund is limited to the unstarted portion of the order.
The same principle applies: cancel before work begins for a full refund of any payment made; once translation, review, or localisation work has genuinely started, the completed portion is chargeable.
Cancel or reschedule at least 48 hours before the booked appointment for a full refund. Cancelling within 48 hours of the appointment incurs a 50% fee, reflecting the interpreter's reserved time.
As a consumer, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal from an online purchase under Spanish distance-selling law (TRLGDCU). Because our services are personalised, made-to-order translation work, this right is necessarily limited once you've asked us to begin — which is exactly why sections 1–3 above set out, service by service, what "before work starts" actually means for a refund. If you withdraw before any work has started, you receive a full refund.
A free correction on a delivered translation (see How it works) is not a refund situation — tell us what needs adjusting and we'll fix it at no extra cost. Refund requests are considered separately, where the issue can't be resolved by correction.
Email support@cutetranslation.com or call +34 973 72 10 20 with your order reference. We confirm the outcome in writing and process any refund to the original payment method.
